Operations

Dickinson Philips is dedicated to providing a first-class, responsive and reliable service, to meet the needs of every one of our valued customers.

Our production unit operates 24-hours, 5 days-a-week, with our injection moulding professionals working on a reliable, 3-shift system. During particularly busy periods of operation, we serve customers on a 24-hours, 7 days-a-week basis, in order to meet with increased demand and retain our outstanding quality and service levels.

Our office hours are: 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday

Investment

Dickinson Philips strives to deliver outstanding levels of service and quality in plastic injection moulding.

In order to remain at the forefront of the injection moulding industry and to continue to meet with customer demand, we operate a continuous program of investment. In hand with knowledge and experience, is the need to continually invest in quality, contemporary machinery and equipment, that ensures to deliver the requirements of a progressive industry.

2013 saw Dickinson Philips purchase a new 250 Tonne Moulding Machine and install a Closed Loop Cooling System, as well as a 42kW Solar PV System. August 2014 saw a new Negri Bossi 130 Tonne Moulding Machine. Our latest addition is a Negri Bossi Vesta 220 Tonne 'All electric' machine in February 2016.

Dickinson Philips promises to solve customers' injection moulding challenges and beyond. It is with this in mind that our advanced systems can anticipate your likely part requirements for the months ahead, based on previous ordering habits.

As customer relationships develop and we begin to appreciate your longer-term product needs, Dickinson Philips' people and systems grow to learn your business requirements and can over-produce on orders - storing overrun stock for later use. The ability to immediately call off earlier produced stock as required, is extremely appealing to our current customers, particularly on those occasions that they experience an unexpected demand for products.

Our stockholding system also helps us here at Dickinson Philips in terms of production planning. Stockholding vastly reduces the number of tool changes required - this is a huge time and energy saver, increasing our efficiency and ability to deliver to customers more quickly; it also reduces the quantity of start-up scrap, which is great for the environment.

In addition to all of this, for those customers using high volumes of parts, we are happy to hold stock at our facility, at agreed levels.
